Inspired by one of the most intense and symbolics works van Gogh painted during the final years of his life Prisoners’ Round this new special edition uses a dense color palette to allude to introspection and emotional tension.

The painting’s figures are frozen in a moment of circular movement within an enclosed courtyard with high walls, and the muted colors feel isolated and confined; the painting truly does capture a sense of restraint and even captivity.

Visconti imbues this new edition with similar colors to recall the cool, shadowed tones of the original art, complemented by gold-plated trim to introduce a luminous contrast. Fitted with Visconti’s Dreamtouch rollerball refill, this new edition is a wonderful addition to the iconic line.
